The Most Noble Order of the Thistle
The Noble Order of the Thistle was created in 1866 by King Leopold I after he had established the Ministries of Genovia. King Leopold believed that individuals who serve the Crown in government with high positions should be Nobility. In 1892, King Frederick II made the Order an Honour and preserved membership to those few who were exceptional in their services. Today the Order of the Thistle is only awarded to members of the Genovian Government who do greatness in their services to the Crown.
As stated in the Royal Charter, a loyal subject and member of the Genovian Government may be awarded the Most Noble Order of the Thistle for the following reason:
The Most Honorable, Distinguished, and Great Achievement in Government Services to the Crown and to Genovia.
